IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The term RENTER defines the holder of the prepaid reservation who shall be mentioned in the rental agreement as the main driver.
Please note that regarding non-prepaid reservations (i.e. payment at location), we will debit the estimated rental amount at the rental desk when you arrive. No additional security deposit will be debited from your card.
Your prepaid reservation (online payment) or non-prepaid reservation (payment at location) is only valid for the period of time indicated.
DOCUMENTS TO BE PRESENTED
To pick up your vehicle, you must present a bank card such as VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS or DINERS CLUB bearing your first and last name and a clear, valid driving licence for each driver. Debit cards such as Cirrus, Maestro, Electron, Indigo and Kyriel may only be used for the prepayment. The renter must present another valid credit card at the desk such as VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS or DINERS bearing their first and last name.
An international driving licence is requested for translation purposes and must be accompanied by the national driving licence for citizens of non-EU countries.
PAYMENT, PRICES AND ADDITIONAL COSTS
No discount granted by your company, works council or gift voucher whatsoever may be applied to our prices. It is not possible to add a CDP discount number to a reservation made on the website www.hertzcorse.com.
It is not possible to add your Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® or Hertz Club Gold #1 membership number to a reservation made on the website www.hertzcorse.com.
Although we do our utmost to ensure that the prices given on our websites are accurate, mistakes can occur. We will inform you as quickly as possible if an error in your reservation price is brought to our attention and we will give you the opportunity of either confirming the correct price or cancelling your reservation at no cost. If we are unable to contact you, your reservation will be deemed to have been cancelled.
Additional fees may be billed for drivers under 25.
The estimated amount to be paid at the rental desk is calculated based on the information given when you made your reservation.
MODIFYING YOUR RESERVATION
You may modify your reservation by sending an email to: reservations@hertz-en-corse.com or by clicking on the Contact Us link. Administration costs of €15 will be charged and directly added to your reservation. These administration costs are to be paid at the beginning of the rental or by calling the reservation department.
If you modify your reservation, we will recalculate your rental price to take into account the new information. Your reservation rate cannot be modified. If you would like to benefit from the new rates available on the website, you will first of all have to cancel your initial reservation and then book again. Administration costs of €45 will be charged.
Administration costs are paid for any or all modification.
If you would like to rent a vehicle from a higher category or extend your rental period at the beginning of the rental, you may make these changes at the agency when you pick up your vehicle. These changes are subject to availability and the payment of additional costs. Please note that these additional costs will be billed at a different rate to the one you have prepaid.
Prepaid reservations may only be used on the date indicated on the reservation. If you wish to change the pick-up date, you must make such a change before you arrive and pay the administration costs.
CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION
You may cancel your reservation online by clicking on ‘Customer Account’ or ‘Contact Us’.
If the reservation is cancelled within 14 days after payment, you will receive a full refund. Cancellation fees of €45 will be charged after this deadline and directly deducted from the refund. The refund will be paid by cheque and sent to the address given on the reservation.
Please note that the options and accessories that are paid online but not used at the beginning of the rental will not be refunded.
NO SHOW
If you have prepaid (online payment) and have not cancelled your reservation but fail to pick up your vehicle on the Pick Up Date and Time, your reservation will be kept until 11.59 p.m. of the Pick Up Date unless the agency closes before 11.59 p.m. in which case the reservation will be kept until the agency closes. After 11.59 p.m., the vehicle will be made available to other customers. If you arrive after 11.59 p.m., we will do our utmost to provide you with a vehicle but we will not be able to guarantee its availability and your reservation will be cancelled for no show. We will invoice a no-show charge of €95 to compensate for loss of revenue due to our inability to rent the vehicle.
In such a case, we will refund the prepayment less the no-show charge if you write to us at FILIPPI AUTO Poretta Airport BP 7 20290 LUCCIANA CORSICA, within 90 days of the Pick Up Date requesting repayment and enclosing a copy of your reservation confirmation.
If you have made a non-prepaid reservation (payment at location) and have not cancelled your reservation but fail to pick up the vehicle at the Pick Up Date and Time, your reservation will be kept for two (2) hours after the Pick Up Time. After this two-hour (2) deadline, the vehicle will be made available to other customers. If you arrive after two (2) hours, we will do our utmost to provide you with a vehicle but we will not be able to guarantee its availability and your reservation will be cancelled. We reserve the right to charge a non-show fee of €65 to cover our administration costs.
Please note that although we will keep your reservation until the agency closes (prepaid reservation), if you do not pick up the vehicle at the Pick Up Time, you will have to wait until we are able to make another vehicle available within a reasonable deadline.
EARLY RETURN / LATE RETURN
We are unable to give a refund if you return the vehicle before the Return Date and Time indicated on your rental agreement.
If you return the vehicle after the Return Date and Time indicated on your rental agreement, we will bill the additional rental days. Please note that these additional fees will be billed at a different rate to the one you have prepaid.
NATURE OF THE AGREEMENT
The acceptance of your reservation and the validation of the agreement concerning the availability of the rental vehicle by the Company Hertz will come into effect when you pick up the vehicle at the agreed date.
